This young athlete maintains considerable online following
The young golfer will have plenty of high-profile supporters when she begins her professional golf debut later this week.
This teenage golfer, who is the granddaughter of a former US president, obtained a special exemption to play at the Annika competition in Florida.
The former president, a passionate golfer, owns multiple golf courses and frequently matches against Kai.
"He's pretty good. I can't say much but we have some close matches," she stated.
The golfer shared that her grandfather, who won't be present, advised her: "Simply avoid anxiety."
"He essentially suggested to go out there and have fun," she added.
"To me, he's simply a regular grandfather. He can't make it this weekend. He's busy with presidential duties, so he's quite busy."
As an amateur, the golfer has competed in only three events recently and maintains the 461st position in AJGA standings.
But she's able to seek guidance from golf legend, romantically involved with her mother.
"He is the best player globally," Kai expressed.
"Additionally, he's a superior human being. He advised me to play, enjoy myself, following the flow."
She'll challenge multiple the biggest names in professional golf at this tournament, including world number two Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
Tournament organizers commented that involving Kai helps introduce the sport to different demographics, particularly reaching youth audiences.
The young star has substantial online presence and just introduced a personal apparel and wellness company.
Her first tee time at 17:30 GMT.
